Australia’s Barossa Valley is home to great food and wine, and is one of the world’s top culinary destinations. In common with the great wine regions of the world, the Barossa’s food and wine culture has grown steadily as the knowledge of soil, climate and ingredients has been refined. Not the least in this growth has been the diverse varietal selection of grapes that are now planted within the Barossa. Certainly the region is most notably home to bold Shiraz and crisp Riesling but today a myriad of other grape varieties offer the wine enthusiast options unavailable even a decade ago.
Wine is integral to the food experience at Appellation and with our passionate approach to regional cuisine we ensure that our food is always wine friendly. We firmly believe a good food and wine marriage is something greater than the sum of its parts. This belief is underpinned by the close relationship we have with our colleagues in the Barossa winemaking community.
